Cables & Connectors

Despite the majority of cables being modular, a select few are still fixed. Both the 24 pin motherboard and both the 8pin and 4+4pin 12V CPU connections are pre-attached along with two 6+2pin PCI-Express headers for powering most single GPUs.

The final connection is a 3-pin fan header allowing the user to monitor fan speeds.

The modular cables come to a total of seven each immaculately presented with black sleeving and heat shrunk ends. Two PCI-E cable bundles are included each with two 6+2pin PCI-e 2.0 connections thus allowing up to three card SLI or CrossfireX.

A total of three SATA cables each with 4 connections should be more than enough for most users even with multiple HDDs as a total of 12 SATA connections are on offer.

Similarly a couple of molex cables are thrown in each with 3 connectors for powering extra case fans etc.

If you’re wondering who made it, look no further than ENERMAX. They were specifically assigned the task of making PSUs for Sapphire. That’s why it’s a great unit, the rails are rock solid and the performance is good ..
