Speedlink Snappy Smart Webcam

Conclusion

Overall, the Speedlink Snappy webcam is decent enough for the budget webcam market. The folding stand keeps it useful for perching on top of a variety of laptops and monitors as well as portable use, where built-in webcams are not necessarily guaranteed. The sound quality picked up by the microphone is of reasonable quality and quite a useful addition so that a separate audio device is not required.

All in all, the Snappy is reasonably priced and does exactly what it says on the tin.

Pros

  • Multiple colours available
  • Works with audio as well as video
  • Laptop clip for portability
  • Picture quality is fine for the price

Cons

  • VGA resolution is a little weak
  • Requires manual focus
  • Windows only
