The R490 is a simplistic mouse, with the minimum complement of a left and right button and a scroll wheel. It also features a tiny button below the scroll wheel which changes the DPI from 800, to 1000, to 1200. The chassis is green in colour (and is also available in six other colours), and is made entirely of smooth plastic except for the rubber scroll wheel.
The bottom of the mouse is similarly unadorned, with tiny plastic feet and a standard optical sensor.
Here’s a comparison of this mouse with more standard gaming mice I had on hand (the Saiph Mionix 3200 and the Sharkoon Fireglider Black). As you can see, the Soyntec is much smaller, suiting a smaller hand or travel / laptop use.
