The R490 packaging brags of its 1200 DPI sensor and 36 month warranty, which is fair enough.

The sides of the box show its compatibility with each mainstream operating system (Windows, OS X and Linux, although for some reason OS X is called ‘Mac User’) and a line drawing of the mouse (from the same angle that you can actually see it, due to the clear front).

The back is the normal six language version of the specifications and features listed on the first page of this review.

Overall, the packaging is inoffensive to open, although getting it back together is a pain (although you’d never need to outside of a review).
