Razer Onza Tournament Edition

Mice, Peripherals

Razer has made a strong effort in branching out to the console market with the Onza. Though more expensive than the standard XBox controller, particularly for the Tournament Edition (notably the prices are a lot closer in the US) the Onza definitely adds enough additional features and tweaks to make the extra cost worthwhile for the hardcore gamer. It is a little unfortunate that the controller is wired only, as many people are used to using wireless controllers, but in many cases, the longer, more durable cable will make up for it.

Ultimately, the price is a little high, but you won’t be disappointed.

  • Looks good
  • Programmable buttons very useful in many games
  • Thumbstick tension adjustment good to personalise response
  • Good rubberised grip
  • Cable is longer than official controller and more durable

  • Wired version only
  • Back and start buttons relocation take a little while to get used to
  • More expensive than official controllers
  • Potentially not compatible with existing peripherals
