Synology DS 710+ Continued
The back of the NAS drive is where the HDDs are inserted via clip held drive-bays. There’s also a VGA port for streaming video, a couple of USB 2.0 ports, an ethernet port, eSata connector and one for the DC power input as well.
The drive bays are opened with a simple press which releases the clip mechanism. The clip is replaced with another gentle press. A very nice and easy tooless way of removing and adding drives.
That said, the individual drive bays inside do need to have the Hard Disk screwed into them.
The interior of the DS710+ has the typical SATA and power connectors for the drives which are attached via a simple push-in. There’s also a few heatsinks and a smal 80mm fan to help keep the interior cool.
