Killer NIC

Conclusion

Overall, the Killer NIC feels like an unfinished product that has been driven to its current positions by PR alone. In our testing, it doesn’t perform to the hype, and generally doesn’t feel like a necessity for a gaming system. It should be noted that only FPS were tested, and not MMORPG style games.

It does help slightly, and would be a reasonable purchase of the man who has everything, but that’s rarely the case. If you are lagging behind, pour the cash you would have spent into a better CPU, or GPU. Perhaps even a better broadband package as these are proven to increase frame rate and ping.

ProsCons
Looks niceDoesn’t effect ping by a tremendous amount
FNApps offload CPU cyclesExpensive
 A little buggy
