GEIL EVO VELOCE – Dual Channel 2133 MHz 2 x 8 GB kit

Memory

Conclusion

At approximately £100 for a 16 GB kit, the Geil Veloce is a very justifiable set of 2133 Mhz RAM. Its oversize heatsink should make it ideal for overclocking, and even on stock frequencies it provided excellent benchmark results that equalled or exceeded the majority of its 2133 Mhz competition. Try some of the benchmarks that we’ve listed here, and see for yourself if it’s worth upgrading. Just one word of warning though – make sure you’ve got enough clearance for that oversized heatsink!

Pros:

  • Good benchmarking results
  • Exists in the sweet spot of price / performance between 1600 and 2800 MHz RAM
  • Built for overclocking, good heatsink
  • Looks awesome

Cons:

  • May not fit in some system configurations
