Galaxy 9600GT 512MB OC
The 9600GT itself, follows on from the visual theme of the box, with a brigh blue wave scene; ok the waves arn’t visible on the box, but there we go.
Also on the shroud sticker is a small Galaxy logo with their URL underneath.
The fan is a coaxial jobby, and sits above the the PWM area. It pulls air across the heatsink beneath it (cooling the PWM) and from beneath the card. This air is then pushed over the internal heatsink.
From the rear of the 9600GT, the internal heatsink is clearly visible, situated underneath the wave shroud. On the rear PCI bracket there are twin DVI ports and a single SVideo connector.
On "top" of the card, there’s a single SLI bridge port. This allows the connection of 2 9600GT cards together, for extra performance.
This heatsink keeps the PWM area nice and chilly. Making sure the PWM stays cool is paramount for a stable overclock.
At the front end of the card is the 6pin power connector.
