Installation
Installation is pretty easy as apart from removing the bottom 6 screws, it’s completely tool-less.
Simply connect the port extenders to your hard disc and then slide it into place. That’s literally all you have to do.
However, this simplicity comes at a price. As hard discs are now much more advanced than they used to be, some manufacturers have been making them half-height instead of the full height discs, which is especially prevalent for smaller capacity drives.
Unfortunately, the disc that I’d chosen for these tests was indeed a half-height HDD. While the drive still fits, it won’t lie in direct contact with the copper cradle unless you bend the connectors. This is likely to reduce the cooling ability of the enclosure.
