Prolimatech Super Mega and Armageddon

Coolers

A few Presents from Prolimatech

I don’t usually get presents, especially not from people I don’t really know, but Prolimatech positively surprised me with a very complete review package.

An AMD mounting kit, yes! Note that both coolers in this review are standard compatible with Intel sockets, but don’t have an AMD (ARM-02) retention kit supplied. Since yours truly is reviewing on an AMD-based system, Prolimatech was nice (and wise) enough to supply an AMD mounting kit.

The kit allows to position the air cooler in both horizontal and vertical direction, which possibly relieves us of clearance issues and allows for optimal air flow per case.

Besides the AMD kit, Prolimatech also included one of their own 140mm fans, which supposedly is optimal for both coolers being reviewed today.

As you can see the 140mm fan is quite large, even for the biggest heatsink in this review. I can only suspect that a bigger size won’t negatively impact cooling performance, but can bring clearance issues.
