Prolimatech MK-26

Mounting system

I decided to install the MK-26 on a Zotac GTX 680 AMP!, the removal of the AMP! Cooler is simple, only four screws remove the main cooler, I decided to leave the stock VRM and Memory heatsinks in place for several reasons, the stock heatsinks already gave good temeratures, installed with screws so there is no chance of them falling off and finally, I don’t think the VRM heatsinks would have fitted anyway.

Installation was easy, make sure you read the instructions; I found this was crucial to easy installation.

Another piece of advice is about screw drivers, make sure you have one that fits perfectly, if it doesn’t you’re likely to strip the head of the screw and that is something you really don’t want to do.

Lastly, Prolimatech provided their PK-3 thermal paste, Prolimatechs best thermal paste that performs extremely well. This really shows what an excellent package Prolimatech are providing.

The Cooler

The cooler is a made very similarly to a CPU cooler, in respect to the way heatpipes run to the base and run to a large fin array.

Taking a look at the bottom we can really see the heatpipes entering the base, it’s beautiful.

The base has a warning sticker to protect the base in transit, make sure to remove this!

The base is really flat and very nearly polished to a mirror perfect reflection.
