NZXT Cryo LX Vs. Vizo miniNinja 2

To test laptop coolers we take the temperature of the notebook’s CPU at idle and load, with and without the cooler. The temperatures are taken using SpeedFan.

Idle state is considered to be after 30 minutes of no user activity on the notebook. Load state is taken to be after running S&M for 30 minutes at 100% load.

The laptop used in this testing was a Dell Inspiron 1525 with a 1.6Ghz Intel Pentium Dual Core processor.

Ambient temperature throughout testing was 18 degrees C.

The Vizo simply sits under the laptop with one cable to power the fans.

You can’t even see the cooler in the image above apart from the cable sticking out the side.

For the NZXT there were two cables to plug in.
