Noctua NF-F12

The Noctua NF-F12 has excellent build quality and a good bundle, but itn falls down when compared to the Gentle Typhoon AP-15 in noise, performance and cost.

Unfortunately that means I would find it hard to recommend this fan. The Gentle Typhoon does miss out on PWM but most modern motherboards are able to deal with that with voltage control anyway

  • Build quality
  • Bundle
  • Seems reliable for long usage
  • Focused flow design

  • Performance
  • Noise
  • Cost – The Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP-15 offers a better all-round performance for £6 less.
  • Colour combination can be a downer
