Introduction

The X-Wing series is Glacialtech’s first venture into the laptop cooling market but the company appears to have more products in the pipeline with names such as the Glacialpad and X-wing Miniseries displayed on their website.

The X-Wing series has two slightly different models: the R1 and the R2. Effectively, the only difference between the two models is the touchable front panel – the former has it and the latter does not. However, the real thing that I want to know is can this cooler actually offer some decent cooling? So let’s take a closer look at the R1.
