Coolermaster Hyper 412S

The Cooler

On the front of the cooler, we see the 1300RPM 120mm fan. It’s got this great looking translucent black colour scheme that offsets the aluminium fins really nicely.

The heatsink standing alone, you can see the wide fin spacing here.

The top of the heatsink has a metal plate attached which really shows off the heatpipe their ends nicely, and so makes the heatsink look like a quality product.

A close up of the ends of the heatpipes, maybe some little covers on them may look good.

This little sticker is to keep the base safe in shipping. Unlike some, it doesn’t leave any residue.

The CDC (Continous Direct Contact) base. The way this base differs from most heatpipe direct touch bases is the fact all of the heatpipes are sitting right next to each other, instead of having gaps in between each of them. This makes for better contact between the heatpipes and the CPU. Cooler Master say that the CDC style base is 5% cooler and has 6% more contact surface.
