AMA Aragon 900

AMA Aragon 900 – Radiator

The kit includes all the hardware and parts needed to set up the system. The kit is supposed to be able to handle anything to do 180W but a GPU water block can be purchased separately allowing up to 230W including multiple VGA cards.

Ok let’s start with the radiator which is an integral part of any water cooling setup. It has dimensions of 275(L) x 68(W) x 120(H) mm with dual 120mm fans on the front.

The fans are capable of a maximum speed of 1900RPM but you have a PWM connection (not that both the fans have been attached to the same connector which is of great benefit for those with limited motherboard fan connections). The cable extension is needed for the radiator if installed outside of the case.

Each fan has a silver grill protection which is good as you don’t want debris getting caught up in them with the radiator outside the case. With noise levels rated at 21.9dBA, they shouldn’t be too noisy either – emphasis on the word ‘shouldn’t’ there!

Unfortunately, no information was provided about the airflow or static pressure – it would have been interesting to see how the fans shaped up in those regards to a competitor, like the NF-P12, which is known for its high static pressure levels (great for WC).

Ok, let’s take a look at the back of the radiator where the water passes through to get cooled; according to AMA, the two-row high density fin design is exclusive to this radiator and allows to maximal heat dissipation.

With AMA predicting that in most instances the radiator will be mounted externally, two brackets are included for it to sit on which is a nice touch.
