Conclusion
The Fractal Design Define R2 case is an in-between ATX case. Its features aren’t in the budget area but neither is its price. Since Fractal Design isn’t a very well-known brand yet, compared to bigger names, it is hard to come up with a product that makes people consider buying yours instead of theirs.
Personally I would recommend this case to anyone who wants a better looking and a bit more functional case than the budget ATX cases, but only if they aren’t on a tight budget for the rest of the rig. The high amount of HDD/SSD trays make this case sort of interesting for people with a lot of data, but appropriate cooling needs to be installed at the optional fan grids.
XSReviews.co.uk awards the Fractal Design Define R2 case with 3.5/5 stars for a decent product but lack of innovation and sharp pricing.
Pros | Cons |
Plenty of room for HDD/SSDs | Design is rather boring |
Removable Dust filters | Rather minimalistic front panel |
Decent and quiet stock cooling | Price is not very competitive |
