Antec DF-85 – Internals
Moving inside the case it’s immediately obvious that there’s no tooless setups on the 5.25″ drive bays, HDD bays…
or the PCI brackets.
When it comes to cooling, there’s quite a few fans in this bad boy. As well as the three 12cm fans at the front there’s two 12cm red bladed impellers in the rear…
… and two large 14cm black bladed fans mounted on the roof.
Looking through to the front of the case you can see the 3 intake fans as well as a couple of clever drive ports.
Each drive port twin links two SATA power and data transfer connectors allowing for a much easier hook up between motherboard and HDD/SSD. However, take into consideration that all cables must be doubled up with this setup.
At the “back” of the motherboard tray it becomes obvious how much cable management has been focused on. There’s a lot of holes for routing cables though and a large hole where the CPU should sit to allow the removal and changing of cooler backing plates without the need for a full motherboard removal.
There’s also a few plastic cable ties already hooked up at the back allowing for easier tidying away of those pesky cables.
