I came away from the W750 impressed. The projector punches above its weight with excellent 2D and 3D image quality, with excellent colour reproduction and greyscale values right out of the box. After an easy period of calibration, the W750 is top notch. If you want 3D and don’t need 720p, this is a great choice.
The reality though is that higher resolutions are trumping 3D, making this projector less future-proof than a non-3D 1080p model. With 4K support on the horizon and 1080p gameplay standard on next-generation consoles and current PCs, 720p isn’t going to cut it for too much longer – and that means if you want to keep up with the cutting edge, it’s not a brilliant time to pick up a 720p projector like the W750.
Still, none of this is BenQ’s fault – the projector they’ve made is excellent for its category, and should serve you well if you’re happy to remain at 720p for the foreseeable future and don’t want to spend extra on higher resolutions.
