Cooler Master Sirus Gaming Headset

Audio, Peripherals

Conclusion

This is one damn fine headset. Easily one of the highest quality I’ve ever reviewed. It is geared towards a gaming audience so it certainly excels at that more than it does at reproducing music, but it still does that very well and movies are also similarly enjoyable thanks to the 5.1 support and the clarity of most frequencies.

The only thing I’d like to see changed really is to allow the volume control to work with the sound card. Even though I really like the volume controller’s built in mixer, I miss my crystalliser. Fix that and Cooler Master have a near perfect gaming headset. As it stands, it’s not far off.

Pros

Excellent for gaming and movie watching
Good for music listening
Mic is crisp and clear
Comfortable

Cons

Music leaves a little to be desired
Mic is quiet on first use
User forced to choose between sound card and volume control
3.5mm connectors don’t have as much volume boost
Quite expensive
