To anyone that had trouble attempting to access the site today, I apologise. Unfortunately, our hosting company 1and1 internet had  “software” issue that caused all of their dedicated and cloud servers to pack in for the afternoon. This happened again over the past hour. This is a very rare thing so I wouldn’t be too bent out of shape about, if it wasn’t for their god awful phone support.

Let me paint a picture. You ring through, you press the button that sends you to the server support team. A pre-recorded message tells you you’ve got about 10 minutes to wait in the queue. From there, no hold music, just silence for about 20 minutes. At that point, you get a ringing sound for about 20 seconds followed by:

I’m sorry, all our support staff at busy at the moment. Goodbye

At which point you’re hung up on. Needless to say, I think it’s time to look for a new hosting company. If you happen to run a firm with affordable cloud servers available, please give me a shout, I have some money for you.
