PC gaming isn’t as simple when compared to console gaming. You can’t plug and play as much, but at the end of the day, there are ways for you to better your experience overall. If you want to find out more, check out the following info.
Update your Graphics Card Drivers
Your graphics card is the centrepiece of the gaming experience. It can’t unfold the performance that it is capable of if you don’t have the right software installed though, so it is vital that you keep this in mind. If you are an Nvidia GeForce owner, then simply go onto the GeForce website and then select the graphics card you have. It’s a similar process for AMD Radeon users. Sometimes the beta drivers can offer the best performance, although if you notice any stability issues then the most recent stable driver can be a better idea. If you play live casino games then you won’t have to worry about this as much, as the ergonomics of action gaming and online slots or poker are worlds apart. If you’ve never touched your drivers, you can sometimes get big performance gains just from getting up to date, so it’s worth it.

Overclock
Your gaming performance is dependent on the power of the graphics chip in your system. The bottlenecking you experience when playing certain games comes down to your graphics chip in most cases. If you want to improve your performance overall, then you may want to try and run the graphics card beyond the factory settings if you can. A few years ago, overclocking would pose a risk to your hardware but in this day and age that is not the case at all if you take things slow. This is especially true for graphics cards with big heatsinks and multiple fans, which are meant to be overclocked rather than running at stock speeds. You can overclock using software like MSI Afterburner. Start by raising the power and temperature limits to give yourself some extra headroom, then slowly increase your core or memory frequencies until you run into issues. Then, dial things back down to where you don’t see any problems.
Boost your FPS
Believe it or not, your Windows PC will get slower and slower with every program you have running at the same time. Well designed apps will only have a small effect, but have too many of them running (or just one bad apple) and you will notice your computer slow to a crawl. This will have a huge impact on every game that you play. Use the startup settings built into Windows 10 to disable apps that you’re not using, or the programs list to uninstall them. You can also use apps like CCleaner to do more complete uninstalls of programs, as sometimes files and registry settings are left behind.
Upgrade your Graphics Card
Sometimes your only option would be for you to upgrade your graphics card. If you are not quite sure how to upgrade yours then you’ll be glad to know that this is very easy to do. Just unscrew the old card and install the new one in its place, being sure to plug in any additional power cables it needs. The new card will need new drivers, so make sure to install them! If you are upgrading from a small card to a big one, you may need to upgrade your power supply too. While normally the graphics card is what you want to upgrade more often, other system components can also become bottlenecks. For example, try to upgrade your motherboard and CPU every five years, and make sure you have at least 16GB of RAM. That way you will get good performance in new games.
