Small Windows PCs definitely seem to be in vogue. Last week we looked at the Hannspree Micro PC, and today we’re looking an (admittedly larger) alternative: the Zotac ZBOX PI320 pico. Zotac are something of pioneers in the field of really small but still useful computers, and the Zbox Pico is their smallest effort so far. Let’s see how it stacks up.
Today I’m testing Zotac’s Nvidia GTX 980 Amp! Extreme Edition, one of the most powerful graphics cards on the market right now. Zotac have a strong history of producing excellent aftermarket graphics cards, so I’m excited to see what this card is capable of. Let’s get started!
People love really tiny things. There’s something intrinsically satisfying about seeing something small produce something big – whether it’s a dose of truth from a kid or a wall-sized screen from a pico-projector.
The ZBOX EN760 benefits greatly from this phenomenon. It is a small black box that looks like a router – it even has two antennas sticking out of it – but it’s actually a gaming PC. And a media PC you can screw to the back of your HDTV. And yes, even a router, if you want it to be.
In this review, we’ll see what this small black box is truly capable of, as it challenges machines many times its size and price in [...]
Today I’m having a look at something different compared to our usual laptop-and-monitors fare. It’s the Zotac Zbox EI730 Plus, which looks like a crazy router but is actually a tiny, complete PC. The EI730 can be attached to the back of a TV or monitor, placed on a stand or tucked into a small messenger bag. With a Core i5 processor and integrated graphics, it’s capable of running some games too. The EI730 is an interesting package, so let’s take a closer look at what’s inside.
Today I’m testing the Zotac GTX 670, the GTX680’s little brother. This version of the GTX670 happens to be the Zotac AMP! Version of the card. Fitted with two large fans and massive heatsink, the cooler should do a pretty awesome job.SpecificationsInterface: PCI Express 3.0* x16 (Compatible with 1.1) GPU: GeForce® GTX 680 Core clock: 1110 MHz (base) – 1176 MHz (boost) Stream Processors: 1334 Memory Clock: 6608 MHz Memory Size: 2GB Memory Interface: 256-bit Memory Type: DDR5 DirectX: DirectX® 11 OpenGL : OpenGL® 4.2 DVI X 2 (DVI-I and DVI-D) HDMI-Ports X 1 DisplayPort-Ports X 1 VGA (With included DVI-to-VGA [...]
The Nvidia GTX 680, is currently the most powerful single GPU retail card for sale. Using a 28 nm manufacturing process, Nvidia has got some huge stock GPU and RAM speeds out of the card, so it will be interesting to see the performance for ourselves. We’ve heard good things about this card, so let’s check it out.SpecificationsInterface: PCI Express 3.0* x16 (Compatible with 1.1) GPU: GeForce® GTX 680 Core clock: 1006 MHz (base) – 1058 MHz (boost) Stream Processors: 1536 Memory Clock: 6008 MHz Memory Size: 2GB Memory Interface: 256-bit Memory Type: DDR5 DirectX: DirectX® 11
