Yup, we connected it to our desktop’s DisplayPort on a GTX 1080 and connected a monitor via HDMI. No configuration was required beyond switching to the HDMI input on our monitor.
Intel and Apple recently unveiled their Thunderbolt data transfer port, stating that they didn’t believe it was a replacement of USB 3.0, but that it complimented it. Not really sure how that works but hey.
Despite this though they have already announced its successor standard known as interconnect. It’s due to be officially added to our hardware in 2015 and is said to up to 5 times faster than current Thunderbolt technology.

It must be fun being a “business analyst”, all you do is take surveys and make predictions on where things are going in a market. Sounds easy with little worries. Today Walter Piecyk of Analyst firm BTIG Research has canvassed some 150 Verizon stores to see how well the new HTC Thunderbolt is selling compared to its main rival the Apple iPhone 4; turns out its doing quite a lot better.
