The Fnatic Duel is something special: a modular gaming headset. That means you can set it up as a lightweight set of headphones for your smartphone, or as a more immersive headset for gaming at your PC.
The headphones have an impressive sonic pedigree as well, as they’re actually a rebranded version of AIAIAI’s well-regarded TMA-2 headphones. It seems like a match made in heaven, but do they work as well for PC gaming as they do in the DJ booth? Let’s find out.The Fnatic Duel is something special: a modular gaming headset. Many Ouya Kickstarter backers are complaining today because their little android console didn’t turn up as expected. To help assuage their concerns that they’re getting screwed over by the crowd funding success company, the CEO has issued an apology.
She began it by saying, “I’m pissed,” highlighting that the shipping had all been paid for and that the units were with the distributors. In short, there was no reason that the consoles shouldn’t have arrived today.
“Some of you have not yet received your Ouya – and, to you, I apologise,” she said (via Eurogamer). “I did not promise to ship to *most* of you before [...]
Well ok, £149 and £199, but nobody cares about those extra pennies really, I think we’ve all caught on to the ‘just under’ marketing tactic. However the price drop is real, with Asda now pricing the two units £100 lower than they were when the new console was launched in November.
This is of course the second time Asda has slashed the price on Nintendo’s new console. It did so back in March, cutting the price then by £50, so obviously the original price cut didn’t have a dramatic impact on sales, as here we are less than two months later, doing the same thing.

It seems everyone is in the console business these days. Whether it’s the Ouya creators, one of the big three, the guys behind Gamer Stick or Nvidia it seems, which just showed off its own design on a small Android machine.
This one is known as the Shield and comes packing its own mini display for gaming on the go. It’s capable of 720p on that device, but can scale all the way up to 4K resolutions if connected to a compatible TV. It can also make use of Steam’s big picture feature to allow for simple control on a larger display and hook up to your PC to play the games you have on there.
Nintendo has announced that its next generation console, the Wii U, will make use of a Nintendo Network ID, not the Friend Codes found on the Wii. This will be a pleasant change for those that found socialising a little difficult utilising the Wii’s method of connecting to remote players.
Other news about the Wii U’s account system suggests that the console will allow for 12 different player accounts and that any Eshop purchases by individuals will be accessible by everyone.
When players boot up the console, the dashboard will be Miiverse dominated, making it easier to connect with friends and family, while the Gamepad itself will sport a much more [...]
