The X7 DT v6 is the gem in Aorus’ glittering crown of gaming laptops. It boasts bleeding edge hardware and a few unique features, all packed into a sleek aluminium wing design. That makes it incredibly desirable, but does it justify its equally impressive £3000 price tag? We’ll let you know in our review.
The Aorus X5 has returned! Our favourite laptop of the year so far has been upgraded with a new GTX 1070 graphics card, an RGB keyboard and a more powerful, overclockable processor. Here’s our full review.
The GTX 10 series — including the 1080, 1070 and 1060 — have made quite a splash as desktop graphics cards, and now it’s time for us to see the laptop equivalents. Lots of laptop makers announced new models featuring the mobile 10 series cards today, and we’re going to take a look at the offerings from Aorus and Gigabyte.
The Aorus X7 Pro is the company’s largest laptop, and one of the most powerful too. It packs a pair of GTX 970M graphics cards in SLI and a high-end Core i7-6820HK processor, which should make it a great performer. Look deeper, and you won’t find many weaknesses. Our review unit came with 32GB of DDR4 RAM, a 480GB PCI-e SSD and a G-Sync capable 1080p display too. That’s a lot of horsepower in a 25mm thick laptop, so let’s put it to the test!
Earlier today we covered Gigabyte’s Computex offerings, and now it’s time to look at what sister company Aorus are cooking up. They’ve announced a new laptop, the X7 DT, which looks like an absolute beast. It’s already won a Computex 2016 Design and Innovation Award, and the specs look just insane.
The Aorus X5 Camo is the coolest gaming laptop I’ve ever seen, bar none. And beneath that awesome camo exterior, the Aorus X5 gets almost everything right. Performance? Gobs of it. Screen? Beautiful. Keyboard and trackpad? On point. If you can afford its premium asking price, there are few viable competitors to this beastly machine.
