Seventeam V-Force 650w

Box & Bundle

The box for the Seventeam V-Force Series is fairly eye-catching with a purple light shining on an image of the matte black unit on the left hand side. Just above it, the >80% efficiency rating is emphasised with a green circle – a nice link to green environmentalism there!

A few features are shown at the bottom such as the different connectors; the unit is modular (oh no sorry that’s the 650W Z-AF version) and it’s SLI ready (no wrong again that’s the 750/850W versions); is there actually anything on here to do with the 650W P-AF? Oh there we have, it has PCI-e connectors!

On the side of the box a couple of graphs are displayed: one shows how the fan speed (RPM) increases proportionally to the increase in voltage and the other how the 80PLUS certified units (namely the V-Force series) have a far lower power consumption (KWh) compared to non 80PLUS units. Again, the graphs are in green and the phrase ‘Save Energy = Green Earth’ is printed – in all honestly even if everyone used 80PLUS certified power supplies, we are still a long way from being very ‘green’.

The back sports the features in a variety of languages.

Accompanying the obligatory power cable with the kettle plug connection is a number of other accessories:

  • Seventeam sticker

  • Velcro cable ties

The most notable accessory being the Velcro cable ties which are a useful inclusion as they should be a lot easier to use compared to zip ties – plus there are plenty of them; and they’re reusable.
