Rasurbo GAP 750w

Cabling and Connectors

As I mentioned before, all of the cables emanate from the one hole in the PSU with no option of modular cabling. The most important cables (i.e. motherboard, CPU, PCI-e) all have black braiding to keep the cables tidy.

Unfortunately, this cannot be said about the 4-pin molex or SATA connectors where the cabling is loose, which makes it a little harder when trying to manage the cables inside a case. The fact that no zip ties are included is a little annoying too.

The motherboard cables complete with black braiding and rubber ends is a 20+4 pin construction meaning that it can support both the older 20-pin motherboards and the newer 24-pin versions.

Again the CPU cable (ATX 12V) is multi-compatible with it being 4+4pin so that it can be used for both sockets.

There are two PCI-e 6-pin connectors which are especially important for this unit as it is marketed as a gaming product and so more it’s likely that gaming rigs will have higher power consuming GPUs which need the extra wattage from a PCI-e cable; although a 6+2 pin cable would have been nice to see instead of just the 6-pin.

There are a whole load of molex and SATA connections (5 and 6 respectively) and this should be plenty though one problem is that it means space in your case needs to be found to store them out of the way.
