Rasurbo GAP 750w

The Rasurbo GAP 750W PSU

The unit itself is a very distinctive orange colour and continues on from the flamboyant packaging. Sadly, the GAP series aren’t modular and so all the cables come bundled up in an elastic band.

The unit uses a 120mm thermally controlled fan which has a black impeller and is enclosed in the usual way behind a black metal grill on the top. The fact that the fan is thermally controlled is effectively the equivalent to a PWM case fan where as the temperature increases the fan speed is adjusted accordingly. Thus noise levels should be a lot lower at low temperatures where a big cooling boost isn’t required – obviously this is great for silent enthusiasts.

The power switch and kettle plug socket are situated in the middle of a honeycomb grill through which the internal components are visible.

The underside is just plain black – no colour or styling – but hey it’s not going to be seen as it will be flat against the top of your case so who cares?

On one side, all the electric and power stats are displayed. In terms of DC outputs, the GAP 750W unit just has two12V rails and in combination with the other rails a peak load of 750W can be achieved.
