Ikonik Vulcan 1200w
Results

Rail wise, the Ikonik Vulcan isn’t too bad. It’s 3.3v rail is bang on, and it’s 5v is ok; out by a little but ok. Unfortunately the 12v is out by nearly .2v at idle and load. However, although all the rails aren’t the tightest, they are all very stable with the biggest change in voltage being 0.02, which is very good indeed. This unit might not have the most tight/accurate rails, but it’s stable as hell.

Efficiency wise, the PF rating for the Vulcan is pretty damn good. At load, it has the best rating at 0.97, and wattage wise it beats almost all the others by a good margin, though the Commander is right on it’s heels.
The PF rating is a good way to test the efficiency of the unit, the closer to the ideal of 1, the better. For a full run down on PF ratings, check out our glossary entry here.
Noise
Noise wise, the Ikonik Vulcan isn’t the quietest. Even standing a few feet away it’s quiet clearly audible. If your a silence enthusiast steer clear, but if you don’t mind a bit of noise it probably won’t bother you.
Cost
Unfortunately I’ve been completely unable to find anything remotely resembling a price for the Vulcan. If anyone is aware of where these are available for purchase and how much they cost, please let me know by heading to our contact page.
