Cougar CMX 550w Preview
Physical Features
The PSU itself is a pretty good looking unit with a fancy copper coloured casing. Cougar have definately taken some style points from car manufacturers with this one.

There’s a fancy cougar badge in the centre of the black grilled section on the top/bottom.

If you look through said grill, you can see that there’s one large capacitor. Im not gonna pretend I know what this does, but it’s usually a sign of improved quality compared to multiple smaller capacitors.

The Cougar logo and text is found all over the CMX 550w.

This is a modular PSU, with the connectors found just where you’d expect them to be. PCIe and other power connectors are kept seperate and colour coded. Red for GPUs, white outline/black connectors for everything else.

The underside/top (depending on the way you look at it) has a specifications table.
