The box itself is entirely black but is covered with a cardboard sleeve upon which we find some interesting visuals namely the butterfly on the corner of a large image of the Pro M500. Perhaps it’s so quiet you can even hear a butterflies wings flapping but I doubt it. [or is it chaos theory time? speculation abounds. Ed.]
The front points out the 80 PLUS certification of the unit, which is always a good sign and 5 years warranty is thrown in for good measure too.

The back has all manner of tables and diagrams explaining the Fan Curve and showing off the modularized cable design and heatsinks. Of course the outputs table is present with the maximum output at 500W but interestingly only one +12V rail.
Finally, we get some bullet-pointed features and a yellow dot distinguishes this model as the UK version.

The thick cardboard box folds outwards revealing the accessories:
- Manual
- User’s Manual CD
- Limited Warranty Card
- Anti-vibration silicon pads
- Power cable
The silicon pads are an interesting idea that I’ve not encountered before but they seem to be a good idea as power supply units do tend to vibrate quite a bit which without the pads just gets transferred to the chassis and thus amplified.
