Roccat Kave

Conclusion

All in all, the Kave is a fantastic headset. It’s got a few flaws here and there, but for Roccat’s first foray into the headset market, they’ve done just what they did with their other product lines; put the fear into the big boys.

Not only does this headset deliver in the audio department, but it looks great, as well as not being too expensive; though probably out of the price range of the more modest gamer. In terms of draw backs, it’s bass can be a little lacking at very high volumes, but it’s hard to notice unless you’re really looking for it. Other frequencies are handled excellently, and the clarity at the top end – volume wise – really is something else.

The volume control holds a lot of promise, but I think if Roccat took some inspiration from Razer’s Mako controller, they’d have a true winner on there hands. As it stands, the Kave is a fantastic contender for top end audio earpieces, and I would rank it right up there with the best of them.

Pros Cons
Great sound quality Bass frequencies not as pronounced as others
Top notch clarity at higher volumes Volume control needs volume indicator
Looks good
Useful volume control functions
