Razer Barracuda Gaming Headset

The ‘Cuda

The Barracuda headset is the typical “Cupped” style headset, with the headphones being heavily padded “Cups” with an adjustable headstrap in between.

Headset Cups

Next to each cup is either an L or an R, obviously right and left. A nice little feature, makes sure that you are hearing the right sounds in the right ear.

Headset Mic Slot

In the above picture you can see the slot where the detachable microphone goes. The mic is a short and solid and you can twist and turn it in its socket allowing for a bit of customization on mic placement.

Both cups of this headset feature the Razer logo of the three snakes. As per some of their other products, visa ve Copperhead Tempest, the logo is lit up with a blue LED behind it which looks nothing short of awesome.

The headband of the headset is quite different from most headbands. Instead of being one solid band that runs around the dome of the wearer’s skull, padded by foam, it is in fact two bands. The top being two thin strips of plastic that serves to hold the structural integrity of the headset together, while a second strip that stretches to the size of the wearer’s head is just beneath the former, and is indeed padded with foam.
