Nova Master
Packaging
When this pad came to me the packaging was in quite a bad state. The way it had been packed and sent to me meant that the pad was bent [ED: My bad], this caused a “crack” in the backing of my mouse mat and a lump right down the middle.
The actual packaging consists of a heat sealed plastic wallet with a piece of paper in it. The mouse pad is stuck to the paper and basically all you see is the nova master. At the top of the front, the nova trademark is printed and some symbols showing how the pad works with both laser and optical mice. Nova also makes it known, on the front of the packaging, that this pad can go up to 8000dpi.
The back of the paper, although ripped in half from its rough treatment, is very informative. The main thing that you notice is the table highlighting the master and it is clearly shown as the top end of the series, but with a comparative look the master only has the advantage of size – if that is an advantage for you – and actually fairs worse than the winner 3 and the killer 2 when it comes to surface speed.
The back of the packaging also has paragraphs on the pad written in 6 different languages. These blurbs make claims about the pads high performance and give a little background information on Nova. The top right shows the awards won by the series.
One of the nicest features of the packaging is the 2 holes, one on either side, which allow you to feel the pads special properties. If you weren’t convinced by the pads stunning looks and bold claims feeling the high quality material would probably convince you.
