Mionix Propus-380

The Propus is quite an interesting looking mat, as instead of featuring the typical top plastic layer, followed by cloth beneath, Mionix have skipped the middle-man and gone for plastic and a rubber underlay. However, on the very top surface is thin coating of sparkly grey stuff. It’s hard, but slightly pliable.

Overall the surface seems black, but in reality is more of a very dark grey. It’s a solid piece of construction with well defined edges that dont have any sharp material to scag your wrists on.

The only real styling is a couple of small logos in the top left and bottom right. The latter one is the Mionix logo. God knows what it is. Some swirley thing.

Here’s the sparkly surface. As you can see, slightly greyer up close with a rather crazy pattern that helps the laser register movement better.

The underside is a woven mat of rubberised material to help keep the pad in place during play.
