Ideazon Zboard Fang Gaming Board

Testing

For the testing of this board I decided to run it through its paces in Unreal Tournament 2004, GTA San Andreas and World of Warcraft

UT2004

The board performed well here, almost all of the buttons were useful and in many cases I felt I was able to respond quicker because of the layout of the keysets that I was given. The board was relatively comfortable to use, though I have to say that I think my Belkin Nostromo 52 is more comfortable as it has a curved hand rest:

The jump button was a little hard to press sometimes and this is mainly down to the same problem that most game board manufacturers seem to have, and it is all their fault. Why oh why do these companies use these horrible hard plastic buttons for their jump keys? They are harder to press, always get slippery and feel like they are going to break any second. If Ideazon simply used the same material the other buttons are made out of, and made the jump button a bit more upwards facing, there would be no problem at all.

San Andreas

Again this board performed very well indeed, almost all of the shortcut keys were useful. However as with the other keysets they all change the layout so much that it does take some time to get used to it, but after a while its not too much of a problem.

World of Warcraft

This is where the keyset really seemed to shine. It had so many useful commands within easy reach that it made the world of WOW seem a lot easier to navigate and move around, let alone fight in. The amount of shortcuts that are clearly displayed is awesome and really made a difference to my gaming.
