Genius Ergo 555

Windows Usage
In Windows usage, I set the Ergo 555 to 1600DPI as this is the setting I’m most comfortable with. I could navigate to buttons with ease with the help of the high precision laser sensor this product entails. The buttons on the left hand side were a great added bonus as I configured them to quick commands such as back, forward, copy and paste.
However, I did have some slight issues with the Genius. The first problem was the buttons on the right hand side, these really get in the way when trying to comfortably position your hand and a lot of the time, are accidentally pressed. The other issue is the Teflon feet on the bottom. With most mice I’ve tested, they have glided across my XtracPads Ripper XXL with ease – without feeling the thick cloth mat beneath my mouse. However with the Ergo 555, it didn’t glide to any standard I was used to, so is a slight let down in that fraction.
In Windows Usage I didn’t need to use the DPI switching button, but found myself pressing it (it’s a male thing), just to see what the Genius would be like to use at 3200DPI. I found it slightly annoying with myself accidentally pressing buttons, however given enough time; I could easily get used to it.
When the DPI button is not switched, the OLED shows a small animation of a Lion.
When pressed, the OLED shows your current mouse settings.

Awsum mouse, one problem…….It has nine keys, why can only seven be programmed?
