3DConnexion Space Navigator
Conclusion
Overall, the 3Dconnexion Space Navigator is a very tidy product that is very good for 3D apps and software. In Google Earth, after a little time, I was able to master the controls and easily navigate around the planet whilst panning, zooming and rotating simultaneously.
My only concerns with the product are that it won’t really appeal to that many target markets as the only users who can really fully utilise it are 3D designers and artists who need 3D software. For the majority of users, the only apps that can be controlled with the Space Navigator are Google Earth, Photoshop and a few other map-type programs. Also, in my opinion, the mouse needs to be slightly heavier in order to stop it lifting up when you zoom out.
However, all in all this is a very good product that will no doubt be of great use to any enthusiast using 3D software; or the casual Google Earth viewer.
| Pros | Cons |
| Very easy to use | Could be a little heavier |
| Comfortable | SE version a lot more expensive for seemingly not much gain |
