Conclusion
While the USB Station doesn’t quite offer you the full features of a NAS and you do need to take into consideration the added cost of a storage device of some kind with USB conectivity, Synology have bundled all the most commonly used features of their other devices into it. On top of this, they’ve maintained the simple installation and nice user interace found on the much more expensive models.
I would have liked to have seen better download speeds as part of the download station and a USB 3.0 port would have been welcomed since USB 2.0 speeds feel a bit wanting these days, but all in this is a very affordable little product that does it’s job well.
