SilverStone MFP51
Installation
Installation isn’t difficult, but is a little involved. As the unit can be used to power on your PC via the remote, the MFP51 has to be powered all the time. This is done by splitting the standby rails of the main ATX connector. Provided with the MFP51 is a short pass-thru ATX cable that has the correct wires for the display. The splitter is about 12cm long, and is the 20+4 pin type meaning anyone can use it. This cable adds bulk to your PC, and is quite ugly if you already have sleeved cables however. The split wires connect to the trailing adaptor which is permanently connected to the rear of the display.
Now you have to connect the power switch from the display to the motherboard headers, and the case power switch plugs to the rear of the MFP51. This means that you can use the display to turn on your PC, or use the normal case button.
The last cable to use is a USB cable that you can either have poking out the back of your case onto one of the motherboard ports, or use the included adaptor from normal USB to motherboard header.
The physical mounting of the unit into your PC is as easy as a standard optical drive.
