NZXT Sentry LX

Conclusion

Overall I really like this product and will keep it long after I finish this review. However I can’t help but feel that the humble fan controller is slightly outdated by new motherboards and even simple programs such as SpeedFan, not to mention fans that can do it all themselves anyway with the simple addition of a thermistor. In light of this disappointment I’ve decided to rethink the product description and now think of it as “a fan speed information display with added control”

However, having worked through that flaw I can’t bring myself to get past how great the display looks, but that I can only see its true form when staring at it head on. The simple solution is to move your computer to where you can see the readout but the reason we have companies to make these products for us is so we don’t have to adapt to the product but that the product adapts to our needs.

All in all, it’s a good piece of kit which with a few minor improvements could be perfect for it’s intentions.
