Fansis FS-PSU Kit

Installation

Installation of this product has to have been one of the hardest products I have ever had to mount. It took over twenty minutes of violent cursing to finally get the gasket around the rear of the Silver Power 600w unit I used for testing. Because the test case has an enclosed PSU area, it was very difficult to get all sides onto the unit. The only way I was able to do it was to push the Silver Power back into the case, fit the top, bottom and left hand side and then use a knife to push the PSU away from the wall before fitting the rest of the gasket. I then had to push it all into place at the back of the case for screwing in. This was very difficult as the tight fit of the gasket caused major friction within the case.

However, as you can see below I finally managed to do it and we had a small party to celebrate which involved much sword waving.

The installation of the other aspect of the FS-PSU kit – the screws and silicone washers – was much easier. I simply placed the PSU mounting platform (a Lian Li feature) against the PSU and screwed the silicone washered scews in place.
