Conclusion
Of the three kits tested, the 4GB Crucial Ballistix proved to be the victor in terms of performance across the board. Whilst the 3Dmark Vantage scores were a close fought battle, the Ballistix had a clear advantage for the read, write and copy speeds.
The latencies, both from Sisoft Sandra and Every Ultimate testing, were significantly lower for the Crucial modules.
With ticks in the boxes for pricing and performance, the relatively low overclocking headroom is the only real limiting factor. The integrated thermal sensor and MOD utility are definitely welcome though and all-in-all, it’s not half bad.
