XFX 9800GTX + Black

XFX 9800GTX + Black

The 9800GTX + Black is a reasonably good looking card. As per usual it’s dominated by the large plastic shroud that covers it. Due to this size, it’s quite surprising how light it is. Compare this bad boy to it’s ATI equivalent and you’ll be very surprised.

The shroud’s big centre piece is the coaxial black fan situated at the front end of the card. It’s got a small XFX logo in it’s centre, but other than that it’s pretty unremarkable.

The rest of the shroud has some "Black Edition" text, to let everyone know you’re 9800GTX is special.

At the back of the card you have twin DVI connectors in fancy XFX green, and an SVideo port; you know, because everyone uses that one. This is also a dual slot card, so make sure you have space for this if you buy it.

Along the top edge we have twin SLI bridge connectors which would allow for Quad SLI which is actually starting to become a viable option for those with insane ammounts of money; IE it almost works right. Mein gott.

Along the top edge, at the front end, we have dual 6pin power inputs for this card.

The front end also has dual gaps that let air in to cool the PWM area.
