Sapphire x1950 Pro AGP

Conclusion

The Sapphire x1950 Pro AGP card is pretty much the top end AGP card available at this time – until the 2600s or 8600s hit the streets. For this you obviously pay a premium, and these cards are becoming increasingly CPU limited as the old systems struggle to keep up with the power of the new generations of GPUs. However, this card does provide a brilliant stepping stone for those not wanting to upgrade to PCI-E yet.

Pros Cons
Best performing AGP card More expensive than PCI-E version
Reasonably powerful Not that cool or quiet

I’d like to thank our sponsors Sapphire for providing us with this card.
