Tuniq TX-2

Conclusion

For all intents and purposes, the Tuniq MX-2 seems like a wise choice over Arctic Silver 5. Both Tuniq and Noctua have produced a product that performs better in some circumstances, and at least matches the performances of the base-line AC 5.

Tuniq have developed an easy-to-smear paste with thermal conductivity that sites it on the consumers map as a performance buy. As with the Noctua paste – availability may find its way into the decision of which to buy as Tuniq’s heat moving compound isn’t as wide-spread as it could be; finding reviews is easier than a point of sale.

Even with its performance edging slightly ahead of Artic Silver, it appears that AC still win by default due to their availability. If you see some of this stuff around, I’d grab some.

Pros Cons
Respectable temperatures No spreader
