Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme

Testing

The Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme heatsink was tested on an AMD Athlon 64 3800+ dual core with Artic Silver 5. The setup was given 200 hours to make sure that the Artic Silver 5 was sufficiently cooked (gas mark 5).

Testing follows our normal methodology which involves 30 minutes with nothing happening and then the final temperature taken (idle results), and then the heat gets turned up for load results, with 30 minutes of dual-core StressPrime with a side order of folding@home.

Due to the same fan as the Coolink Silentator, and the optimised fan spacing and turbulence, this fan is definitely mulnaz. Remove the fan for passive usage and you’re looking at silence.
