These temperatures are pretty impressive when compared to my all-time favourite cooler the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 where the temperatures when overclocked where dangerously high. It’s also an interesting comparison of two coolers that use the same technology, though it was obviously implemented far more effectively in the Core Contact Freezer.

Noise

The claims made by Sunbeamtech at first appeared to be unfounded. This was due to the fact that when the fan was set to max ~2000rpm it was very loud. But after using the speed controller to lower the RPM it was like pressing a mute button as the fan did become incredibly quiet.

Cost

I’ve been hard pushed to find a retailer that is currently offering this product which is a shame, but dedicated as I am I found one and the price may appear quite attractive to you as it is a mere $35-37 which equates to about £17-18. While this is hardly the cheapest cooler out there, the price is a lot better than you see from some of the more well known companies.
